Jie Liu 刘 洁
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Systems Laboratory (CSL) at Cornell University under the supervision of Prof. Zhiru Zhang. I received my bachelor’s degree in Microelectronic Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. I also have a minor degree in Financial Engineering from PBC School of Finance (PBCSF) of Tsinghua University.
My research interests lie generally in the field of domain-specific languages and compilers. I’m particularly interested in improving computing efficiency by exploiting compressed data encodings and innovative data representations. My Ph.D. research mainly focuses on new abstractions and compiler optimizations for efficient sparse data processing on heterogeneous hardware such as GPUs and FPGAs.
In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, photography, and rock climbing.
